Mojo Sauce
Mojo (pronounced “mo-ho”) sauce is the name of several types of sauces that can be served with a variety of dishes. Our version of Mojo sauce comes from Cuba, and should be added to our Tostones and Plantain and Black Bean Salad to add that extra taste.
INGREDIENTS
- 5 cloves garlic, minced
- 2/3 cup fresh juice from local oranges juice (about 6 oranges)
- 1/3 cup olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp freshly ground black pepper
DIRECTIONS
- Place garlic, fresh orange juice, oregano and cumin in a blender and mix until smooth.
- With the machine still running, add the olive oil, orange zest, salt and pepper and blend for about 5 seconds.
- Pour mixture into a serving bowl.
